Grandma

Grandma did get the tubes out and got to move to the step-down unit yesterday. She is talking "a mile a minute" my dad said. Mom is very encouraged.

Now that she is back in the step-down unit, the nurse that was changing her dressing last Thursday when the "stitch-popping" incident happened came by to see her. She told my mom that if she had not been right there changing the dressing that Grandma would have died because those few minutes that it would have taken her to walk down the hall and figure out what was going on would have been lost - and the quick response time was really important. She also said that she routinely changes all her patients dressing at 9:00 in the morning; but for "some reason" she didn't get around to it until the afternoon that day with Grandma.

It's wonderful when you can actually see God's hand, isn't it?

I do not believe there are any "accidents" or coincidences" with God. Praise God for the good report.
