Grandma's a trooper!

Thanks to everyone who prayed for my grandma!

Her surgery went beautifully. Praise the Lord! They were able to replace the aortic valve and the aorta in one step, instead of two as they planned. This shortened the surgery considerably from an expected 10- 12 hours to 4 1/2 or 5 - which also means that she was on the heart/lung machine for much less time than anticipated. These are all very good things.

The doctors are very pleased and called her day "textbook." She still has a long road to recovery - but her recovery looks very promising.

I am so grateful that God has a few more things for her to accomplish down here with us.

Yay God! Yay Grandma! :)

You must feel so much relief even though she still has a ways to go. Grandma's are such an important part of family. There's so much to learn from these dear ladies.
