Little ears miss nothing

Punkin lost her sweet privileges for a couple of days because she "stole" more of her Easter candy than she had been allowed to have. OOPS!

So, tonight while Punkin was away from the table for a moment (do your children always have to go to the bathroom in the middle of dinner like mine?), this was our conversation:

WeaverDad: I would like some pie.
WeaverMom: Ok. Punkin lost her sweets. Are you sure you want to go there? (meaning Punkin is going to have a big ole fit if we eat pie in front of her and she can't have any)
WD: Yes. I shouldn't have to lose my pie.
SnugBug: If I finish my dinner, I would like to go there.

That's great!! I love it when they say things like that! I remember our kids saying things like that.... well not really... I just remember that they did it!! lol.... so the moral of the story is.... put it in writing... oops too late for this Mommy to do that! My baby will be nine in about 3 weeks. time flies!

Reminds me of those days, and yes seems like they had to use the restroom then. Some things never change.

Hilarious! Do you think he had a clue what that even really meant or did he just want the pie?

By the way, the kids looked adorable for Easter, great photos!

Ginger,

I think he knew that "going there" meant getting pie. :) I don't think he understood that Punkin was going to be upset. But, with him, you never know. He would definitely agree with his daddy that he would still want his pie!

that is the kind of blogging i love! that was a genuine moment that i can totally imagine happening in my own home...ours would have had spelling involved or something of that sort.

and YES our kids always play the "just-sat-down-to-eat-now-i-gotta-pee" game.

So, I assume you didn't let him "go there". Kids are great, and you're right, their hearing is amazing.
