Glad to be starting a new unit!

God has been working on me lately to try and not complain. (I haven't stepped up to the bracelet challenge yet though!)

So, hopefully not too much outside of that spirit, can I just say that I'm so GLAD that our Civil War unit is over (and that even though we shortened it, I have never been so GLAD for a unit to be over since we started homeschooling).

We begin our Egypt unit tomorrow! Hooray! Punkin is very excited - her imagination has been captured for mummies & more.

I look for pictures of your two in their Mummy suits!!! :o) What was it about the Civil War that was so hard to study?

It makes me start wishing that I'm homeschooling again...I'm really struggling with whether or not to homeschool Janelle or not... she had a really rough year last year...a rather grumpy (nice way to put it) teacher and that didn't help with things..not that I blame the teacher for everything, but a good teacher makes a HUGE difference. I have homeschooled for 6 years out of the last 9 and the girls have been in school for the last 2..but aaaannywaay.... I hope you enjoy your Egypt study..I can just picture in my head all those fun things that you'll be doing!

I never heard of the bracelet idea before - maybe I could do that with exercise. I could wear some obnoxious bracelet that I wouldn't want to wear outside and force myself to exercise and then take it off! ;-)

Yay!

I'm new to the whole unit thing, so we're starting with fairly simple subjects like "About Me" (senses, manners, my community, etc., etc.).

Have fun with the Egypt unit.
