I only have one thing this week, and I think it's fun-ny! Of course, I have this feeling it is one of those "maybe you had to actually be there" moments, but I'm going to try.
My sweet hubby brought home our fall treats this week. Do you have those? Those things you only like at certain times of the year? Such as huge chocolate slabs only in the shape of an Easter Bunny? - well, that's a bad example because we all know that chocolate is good any time of the year.
However, I only like candy corn from September to November. But during these 3 months of the year, I LOVE it. (Hello to those few pounds I finally lost. :) )
And my hubby loves ButterFingers. Now those may be good all year round too - I'm not quite sure, since I don't care for them ANY time of the year. But they do seem to make an appearance at our house alongside my candy corn.
Only, now you can get what is essentially only the inside of a ButterFinger. And my kids think they are YUMMY! Delish! Can't get enough!
Only they can't remember what they are called, so they ask for the ButterTHUMBS candy.
And despite the fact that I understand that story wasn't worth nearly so many words, it makes me laugh out loud every time.

Still a cute story! Thanks for sharing! We only eat corn dogs in the fall. Guess that comes from eating them at the state fair & football games.

Candy Corn mixed with dry roasted peanuts, that's my fall snack. I'm on a diet now, so I don't think I will be able to have any this year :-(

Megan would eat it year around if she could.
We mix ours with peanuts too. And sometimes mix it with popcorn.
Makes for a yummy snack.
Oh I love stories like this. Max comes up with some good alternative words too. Right now he always forgets how to say the word "nocturnal" and asks me "is a bat nono?"
