Punkin finally finished her story for the Reading Rainbow contest. Here it is! We talked about what makes a good story - a problem to overcome and hero that does. She dictated to me and I wrote it all out. Her original story was almost 360 words and the limit was 200, so I did help her decide which sentences to take out so that story still makes sense. But she thought of the story all by herself, and she did the drawings without any help from me. The drawings are done in the watercolor pencils that Grandpa got her for her 6th birthday.

I'm thinking there is talent showing like crazy. Great job sweet girl!
Great story Punkin! And fantastic art work!!!
That was a cute story. (The illustrations are great too.) Are you a proud homeschool mama or what?
WOW!! Great job!!!! :)
Blessings!
That is an amazing book! I hope you saved the extra sentences, too, so she can have the whole story when she is all grown up. There are some great sites you can use to have it made into a book, and if you use one of the sites that lets other people order your book, too - PLEASE let me know so that we can order a copy.
