On a sign in our neighborhood:In July:
"The intersection of Main and Cross Street will be closed until the end of July. Please use alternate route."
In August:
"The intersection of Main and Cross Street will be closed until the end of August. Please use alternate route."
Today:
"The intersection of Main and Cross Street will be closed until further notice. Please use alternate route."
For some reason, this cracked me up. I appreciate the honesty - somehow to me it says, "you know, we have no idea when we will be able to finish working on this road. Stop asking."

lol! I wish they were that straight forward here. **grin** We have a road that had been under construction for over a year!!
That is something that would crack me up too!!
Sometimes I think my house could use a sign like that. Instead of giving myself a deadline to clean by, I could just use "House will be messy until further notice!" ;)
Wow, sounds like Dallas. The first time we went there the road was closed...three years later it was still closed. You have got to be kidding me?!
I would have gotten a chuckle out of that. I hope it isn't a road you need access to.
