Grandma is still "holding her own" today. She has been upgraded to "fair", and they have begun to dial back the ventilator. My brother went today, and she opened her eyes for him. She is responding to "squeeze my hand", and nodding yes or no to questions such as "are you cold?", "are you hurting?", etc..
My mom is cautiously optimistic. Grandma is not out of the woods yet, but based on how things are right this minute - she is steadily improving.
My mom is a teacher, and has been out all week. She needs to go back to school Monday and do a day of lessons and make some further preparations for her students. I'm sure it will be difficult for her to be away, and for my aunt to be "holding down the fort" on her own for a little while.

"Holding her own" and "fair" are good words. Praise God and we'll keep praying.
Praying that your mom can quickly get caught up on what she needs to at school so that she can get back to be with her sister and mom. Praying for Grandma's continued recovery.
